High ANDEAN CREEK

(Full day program 3 hours from Arequipa and 1:30 hrs. from Colca).
Here we will fish in the high Andes “in middle of nothing” at about 15,00 feet (4,600m.).

We will leave Chivay at 07:00 hs. On the way to Arequipa in the highest point we take a detour and drive for about 40 minutes dirt road in bad conditions. observing in front of us a big volcano that is exploding fumaroles each 40 minutes.
Arrive to the creek about 08:30 in middle of a high plateau the is a small spring creek (We call it Andean creek). There we will find medium size trout but very smart and strong. Is perfect for dry flies or small nymphs, and or very small spinners and use the best fishing technics. Good for advanced fly fishermen.
We recommend to use 2 or 3 wt rod with WF line and leaders 6x. or better a 2 or 3w DT WF line with long 6x leader as well as euro nymphing. Here we will fish “in middle of nothing” at about 15,00 feet (4,600m.). We have a picnic included.
